Misty was saved from the slaughter truck two years ago. She was already started under saddle and has since had additional training in English and western pleasure riding. This spring she was under training at the Biltmore Equestrian Center for 6 weeks. Misty is a an Appendix (thoroughbred/quarter horse cross) and is sensitive and a little high strung. She needs a patient, consistent owner so that she can move forward in her training.

Misty has a lot of potential for low-level jumping and showing with the right owner. She makes good transitions from walk/trot/canter and has a nice shoulder with forward movement. She is a little narrow in the chest so would not be a good candidate for advanced showing, but regular farrier work keeps her sound with good movement.

Misty is an intermediate to advanced rider’s horse. She knows how to longe, cross ties, can be trailored, bathes, is good with the farrier but nervous. She is up-to-date on all vaccinations, teeth care, and Coggins.

With patience and consistent riding Misty will be your best friend. She is sweet and really likes “her person.” If you are interested in learning more about Misty email us.
